Descriptive Academia Tica Coronado
Founded in 1986, Academic Tica is proud to be one of the first and oldest Spanish language schools in Costa Rica.
Academia Tica is a learning centre accredited by Instituto Cervantes and uses international teaching methods. It is also a DELE exam centre that proposes three exam sessions annually.
We have officially received the title: 'The best place in the world to study Spanish' ('El mejor lugar del mundo para aprender español') by our former student Brian Reid.
We are based on two campuses: Coronado-San José and Jaco Beach. Coronado is an authentic town in Costa Rica and it is not far from the capital San José. It is also walking distance from the Braulio Carrillo national park which is an important protected tropical forest.

Lessons: 20 general group lessons + 10 group lessons for DELE exam training The course features 30 group lessons per week. The first 20 lessons are general Spanish so you work on your language skills, reinforce topics that they may feel weak and practice a lot on conversation, grammar, etc. The other 10 lessons are strictly for practice on DELE: working on sample exams along the teacher, discussing topics that may be in the different parts of the exam, making timed practices, etc.
